Thank you for visiting my website. My name is Russ Hunter and I teach beginning guitar to kids ages 5 to 10.

Teaching guitar is my part-time passion and hobby.
​
I began playing the guitar in bands in the late 80’s in Southern California. I was privileged to have my band share the stage with bands from the 80’s and 90’s such as the English Beat/General Public, Flock of Seagulls, Echo and the Bunnymen, and Dramarama.
​
My influences are Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Eddie Van Halen, and bands like America and the Eagles.
​
I continued playing in bands until earning my doctorate degree in clinical psychology. I now live in Northern Virginia with my wife and our 8-year-old boy/girl twins.
